What is EMSELLA™
How does it Work?

EMSELLA™, also known as the Chair or Throne utilizes HIFEM: High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Technology.

When you sit on this non-invasive device, fully clothed, it uses focused electromagnetic pulses causing complex pain free supra-maximal pelvic floor muscle contractions.

One treatment session is equal to 11,500 super Kegal exercises.

The Result: A significant strengthening of the pelvic musculature and pelvic floor, resulting in reduced urinary leakage, dribbles, waking up through the night and improved sexual function for both men and women.

What does EMSELLA™ treat?

What does EMSELLA™ treat: bladder leaks, night waking, prolapse, sexual dysfunction, frequency and urgency.

About Urinary Incontinence:
Urinary Incontinence is defined as the involuntary leakage of urine. This might be a result of weak pelvic floor muscles since pelvic floor muscles play an important role in supporting pelvic organs and controlling continence.
There are three types of urinary incontinence:

  • Stress incontinence: is when there is exerted pressure on the bladder causing leakage. This can be caused by coughing, laughing, sneezing or exercising.
  • Urge: is the sudden, intense urge to urinate frequently.
  • Mixed incontinence: is a combination of both stress and urge incontinence.

Physiological changes can contribute to the development of urinary incontinence; changes such as vaginal delivery, menopause, and aging can decondition the pelvic floor muscles. In order to improve symptoms, it is important to strengthen these muscles. Possible ways to improve your condition may include lifestyle changes and Kegal exercises.

The diagram above shows the pelvic organs  and pelvic floor muscles in men (left) and women (right)

Post Pregnancy: EMSELLA™ can improve pelvic floor function and avoid urinary issues in the future.

Sexual Dysfunction: A weak pelvic floor due to physiologic changes from bladder or prostate surgery can result in decreased sexual pleasure or erectile dysfunction. Kegal exercises have shown to improve bladder control and sexual performance resulting in a better sexual experience.
